When innocent people die or are injured needlessly, it is tragic. When will intentioned people who make and change laws as a result of these incidents do so across the board without thinking through ALL of the ramifications and without actually considering whether or not it will actually do what the change is supposed to do, is ridiculous.
The problem lies in the fact that the ones that will be affected are the ones who weren't causing the problem in the first place. And now you've weakened those who can possibly help.
Yes im addressing the most recent situation in New Zealand and the knee jerk reaction by the law makers to ban weapons. Sure law abiding citizens will follow but the perpetrators that exacted the heinous cowardly act and the ones to follow, won't.
Criminals don't follow laws, therefore the name or label of criminal is their moniker. They are in and out of jail for a reason and it isn't for following the most recent weapons ban.
And now you've got folks like Bernie Sanders and others shouting the same message about gun control in America. Hello who ever political junkie, get a real cause and off the art of distraction. Stop the juvenile finger pointing across the aisle and back to the job at hand of fixing America.
